Are Avon products cruelty-free?
There are some people out there who believe that Avon products are not cruelty-free, but the company has worked to ensure that their products are. They no longer test on animals anywhere in the world and are putting systems in place to ensure that their suppliers do not test on animals, either. Once this process is complete, they will be added to our cruelty-free list.
The company also works with Green Century Equity Fund to support efforts to replace animal testing with alternative methods. In addition, they have agreed to phase out the use of chemicals that may cause cancer, mutations, reproductive harm, disrupt the endocrine system, accumulate in the body or persist in the environment, as well as other chemicals deemed unnecessary by consumer and environmental groups.
