It is becoming increasingly important for us to find out whether the cosmetics on offer by Avon Products are cruelty free. There are a number of beauty companies which have found that the line they make up will not be sufficient to meet demand in the beauty industry. Their products are only a few of the brands to be withdrawn because of this issue. It may not be a very long term effect for some of the cosmetic companies but for others it is a serious problem.

are avon products cruelty free

The Avon Group has always been on the side of animal rights and has strict rules and regulations in place for their beauty products. They have even gone as far as to create an animal testing policy which they wish to enforce for all their suppliers, in an effort to minimise the amount of products used in their animal testing process.

Animal testing on animals by beauty products has been done for many years, although some companies claim they have not. It is not really easy to give a yes or no answer to that question.

Avon is not the only beauty brand, which has had a supplier withdraw from their brand. There are many of these cosmetic companies and it seems almost every major cosmetics company has had one of their suppliers pull out of the Avon brand.

In the case of one of these suppliers, the cruelty involved was considered so high that their suppliers pulled out of the Avon Cosmetics brand altogether. This is an example of the fact that you never really know what is going on in the supply chain.

Some big brand names are now pulling out of animal testing on animals by makeup products. Although this is good news for those of us who are concerned about animal testing, it also makes things more difficult for those of us who want to ensure that our own cosmetics are not being tested on animals.

Many of us have become quite complacent and have come to believe that if we are careful enough we do not have to worry about animal testing when buying our products. But when a supplier pulls out then we may have to do a little bit more research to make sure that we are not giving our money to a company that does not have stringent animal testing policies.

One of the reasons why the animal testing by beauty products are coming under the spotlight is that there has been increased awareness of the animal testing in recent years. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has recently published a report outlining the abuse that occurs in the cosmetics industry.

Animal testing for cosmetics is happening with some of the most popular cosmetic brands around the world. These include beauty products for the face, lips, body and hair.

But the realisation that this abuse is taking place has not brought about any real change in the cruelty free cosmetics industry and so it is no surprise that the animal testing is continuing. It is also disappointing that the Humane Society of the United States did not highlight the fact that these tests occur, in their recent report on the cosmetics industry.

The situation has obviously been rather embarrassing for Avon and a great deal of the publicity around animal rights has focused on that company. Avon Cosmetics continues to offer cruelty free cosmetics but it is a shame that the company is not so transparent in their dealings with its suppliers.

Both animal rights and cruelty-free cosmetics should be equally advertised so as to encourage people to buy from both. That way we can hopefully put an end to the cruelty that is taking place in the beauty industry and continue to promote a cosmetic industry that is animal friendly.
